Can I have less than 1,000 Letterheads?

The simple answer is no. So much of the costs associated with litho printing are in the initial set up that the cost of 500 would be almost as much as 1,000 and would therefore be very expensive per sheet.

For smaller quantities digital printing can be more cost effective but it should be remembered that this fuses toner to the page which can re-melt if the paper is subsequently put through another laser printer creating all sorts of interesting effects!

Is the most complex colour I can have 4 colours one side, 
1 colour reverse?

No. We can print more than 4 colours on one side if that is what you require. If your logo/artwork is more than 4 colours we would normally print it in Full Colour Process but if colour matching is important we can print as many spot colours as needed. (See All about colour).

What we can do on one side we can also do on the reverse. We only quote one colour reverse on this website because this is the most common style of double sided letterhead (when Terms and Conditions are printed on the back to create invoice paper).

Some companies have a single solid colour on the reverse of their letterhead. We can do this but it may affect drying and hence delivery times.

Can my stationery be on a different paper than you are quoting 
on your website?

Of course. The papers that we quote on this website are held in stock so that we can produce stationery on any of them within our standard delivery times.

If you require something different we should be able to source exactly what you want. It may however have implications for both price and delivery time. We will of course try and minimise any impact.

Can you use metallic inks?

We can use metallic ink if that is required in your logo or letterhead. We can not however mix exact metallic colours ourselves and will have to order it in (unless we happen to have your particular colour in stock). This may however have implications for both price and delivery time. We will of course try and minimise any impact.

We are also approved to use a process called Metal FX. This is a special process that by using a metallic base ink and printing in colour over the top a number of different metallic effects can be produced on the same sheet on a single pass through a 5 colour press.

Can you do foil blocking?

We can foil in-house if required. It will however require a block to be made for which there is a one off charge and it is an additional process in the production of your stationery and so will have implications for both price and delivery time. We will of course try and minimise any impact.

Can you emboss?

Letterheads and business cards can be embossed if required. However this is an additional process and one that we can not do ourselves. It will therefore add both time and cost to the fulfilment of your order. Like foiling it will also need a block to be made for which there will also be an additional one off charge.

Who owns the artwork you will use to print from?

The digital files we create in order to print your stationery always remain yours. We will of course keep them on file all of the time that you remain a customer so that if you reorder we already have everything we need. However, if at some time in the future you choose to leave us, and use another printer, we will forward all files to you in a reasonable timeframe from request.

Do you print other things?

If you want a billboard poster or 100’s of thousands of consumer mail order catalogues we are not for you. Equally if you are after personalised short run mailers you are best looking for a specialist. But there is plenty in between!

The selection of machinery that we have is ideal for producing printed business stationery and our IT and administrative systems have been specifically designed to bring maximum efficiency and cost savings to Simply Letterheads. However there are plenty of other print jobs for which they are equally suitable and we would be delighted to quote for any other print requirements that you may have.
